Assistant Foreign Minister, head of the Iranian delegation to the Vienna talks, Ali Bagheri Kani, announced that the talks are moving forward well.
The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Bagheri Kani as saying in a statement to reporters yesterday, "The more seriously the other party is prepared to cancel the embargo and accept the mechanisms set by us to cancel it, especially in the issues of verification and guarantees, the more we can reach an agreement in a shorter period of time."
Baqeri-Kani added, "If the agreement takes place, then the violator of the nuclear agreement must first, i.e. the United States, cancel the embargo, and then Iran, after verifying this, will take the required nuclear measures within the framework of the agreement."
Yesterday, bilateral and multilateral meetings were held between the head of the Iranian delegation and the heads of delegations of the three European countries, Germany, France and Britain, and the assistant foreign policy official of the European Union, Enrique Mora.
Technical expert teams also held meetings focused on the issues of lifting the embargo and nuclear safeguards, with all parties stressing that good progress has been made so far.
The delegations of European countries met with the American delegation, which is participating in the talks in an indirect way.
Last Monday, the eighth round of nuclear talks between Iran and the 4+1 group began in Vienna with the aim of reviving the nuclear agreement that the United States unilaterally exited in 2018.
