There were 12 newly confirmed imported cases of new crown virus disease in Hong Kong yesterday, as well as cases of Omicron variant virus suspected of community infection.

The Food and Health Bureau announced a mandatory test announcement early this morning (31st), and 60 premises were on the list.

According to the authorities, there were 42 preliminarily confirmed imported cases that were epidemiologically related to imported cases, four preliminarily confirmed imported cases that had stayed in Hong Kong during the incubation period, and two non-local confirmed cases that had stayed in Hong Kong. The designated places are included in the mandatory testing announcement.

Among the 42 specified places, 9 were places visited by initially confirmed cases that were epidemiologically related to imported cases, 23 were places visited by initially confirmed imported cases who had stayed in Hong Kong during the incubation period of the virus, 10 Places visited by non-local confirmed cases, including Festival Walk, Industrial Exhibition, Metroplaza L1-L4 Broadway Cinema, Block 1, Guan Lung Building, 20 Lung Wah Street, Kennedy Town, Xiqu Centre, and many restaurants And multiple bus routes.

The remaining 18 designated places were re-tested, including many restaurants in Tuen Mun.

The subject must be tested on or before January 1, 2022.

If the person under inspection has been tested between December 28 and December 30, 2021, they will be deemed to have complied with the requirements of the mandatory testing announcement.
