During the year, about 184,000 babies were born (73.8% for Jewish mothers, 23.4% for Arab women and 2.8% for others).

It also shows that during 2021, about 25,000 new immigrants and another 9,000 other immigrants entered Israel, ie immigrant citizens and people who immigrated under the Entry Law.

The main countries from which the immigrants arrived this year were: Russia (30.0%), France (14.6%), the United States (13.9%) and Ukraine (12.4%). During the first eleven months of 2021 (January-November), 22.7 thousand immigrants arrived in Israel. , An increase of 28.8% compared to the same period last year.

During 2021, about 160,000 people were added to the Israeli population, an increase of 1.7%.

Most of the increase (83%) of the Israeli population was due to natural increase and the rest (17%) - to the balance of international immigration.

As for births, during 2020 about 184,000 babies were born, 73.8% to Jewish mothers, 23.4% to Arab women and 2.8% to others.

The death toll is relatively high compared to previous years, and even higher than in 2020 (47,788), when the corona plague began.

The rate of deaths relative to the size of the population increased from 5.1 to 1,000 residents in the years 2017-2019 to 5.4.

According to the Ministry of Health, by mid-November, about 4,800 residents had died from the Corona virus.

In the Jewish population 87% of the increase was due to natural increase, in the Arab population - 95% and in the other population 22% was due to natural increase and most of the increase was a result of immigration.
