A 33-year-old woman was the victim of a sexual assault in Achères (Yvelines), Wednesday evening, December 29.

She had just left the Achères-Ville station (RER A, Transilien L) and, around 11:15 p.m., when she had just entered the lobby of her building, avenue de Conflans a few dozen meters from the station, the victim was approached by a man.

He stroked her thigh and ran his hand over her penis, pulling up her skirt.

The young woman struggled.

She had the reflex to take out her cell phone to photograph and film her attacker.

It was this initiative that forced the man to flee.

A technique that had allowed two other young women assaulted on lines 7 and 13 of the metro, to highlight sexual assault and harassment in transport in Île-de-France.

Since the confinements and the drop in public transport frequentation, the feeling of insecurity seems to have increased among Ile-de-France travelers.

The same day, another victim had filed a complaint for an assault on the same line.

Last spring, a 38-year-old man was also arrested, suspected of having followed then assaulted and raped at their home three women in Plaisir (Yvelines), between April 14 and 20.

Originally from Trappes, he had used the same technique in Paris, boulevard du Montparnasse and rue de Rennes (6th arrondissement) as well as in the 5th arrondissement.
