An explosion at a coal dump in Baltimore caused a loud blast Thursday afternoon that shook virtually the entire city.
However, authorities reported that no injuries were reported.
Workers at the Baltimore CSX facility
were transporting coal to the five-story tall silo through tunnels
near Benhill Avenue when the explosion occurred, according to Baltimore Fire Department spokesman Blair Adams.
There were no contractors in either tunnel the coal passed through, Adams explained.
