A comedy year in review on Netflix addressed Prince Philip's death.

A joke in connection with the “Megxit” in particular seems to go too far.

London - There are some things that are not to be joked about.

But is death also part of it?

Everyone should answer this question differently.

Some Netflix creators do not seem to shy away from cracking jokes about the last farewell to famous people.

In the comedy annual review "Death to 2021" they allowed themselves a rather borderline joke about the late Prince Philip and the accusations of racism that Meghan and Harry brought up to the British royal family.

What do you think Queen Elizabeth II thinks about it?

Prince Philip's death leaves the British royals in deep mourning

The hackneyed saying “The queen is not amused” is likely to be a bit too cautious in this context.

The British monarch spent long decades by her husband's side, going through thick and thin with him.

His death in 2021 means a deep turning point for the entire royal family.

Now having to endure jokes should not be easy for the queen, who is considered to be so conservative.

Royals: Netflix annual review "Death to 2021" dares a tricky joke about Prince Philip's death

Nevertheless, she has to do exactly that now, because in the comedy annual review "Death to 2021", Prince Philip's death is now a macabre theme.

In general, according to the official statements of the producers, the Netflix show will be dedicated to "the dramas (and occasional glimpses of light)" with archive recordings and skits "that the year 2021 had to offer."

Apparently neither Philip's death nor Megxit and its consequences should be missing.

Because after the interview that Harry and Meghan gave US talk show host Oprah Winfrey, which caused great media excitement, and after the accusations of racism that the two renegade royals made to the British royal family, the Netflix comedians quickly drew their parallels.

It was said in “Death to 2021” by presenter Charlie Brooker: “After the interview, Prince Philip will withdraw from public life forever by dying.” A daring comment.

Queen Elizabeth: does the monarch react to the Netflix year in review?

But what does the Queen say?

Officially, no statement has yet been made on the Netflix annual review from Buckingham Palace.

Since the tricky joke is already making waves in the media, it can be assumed that it will also reach the British palace.

But maybe you just prefer to ignore the topic and continue doing what should be appropriate in any case: to commemorate Prince Philip.

Most recently, however, the Queen herself caused great concern when she appeared to be in poor health.
