Big Ben, one of the world's most famous watches, resumes work in London today after a four-year hiatus.
CNN reported that "Big Ben will ring on New Year's Eve today, heralding the beginning of the new year, after it chimed for the last time on August 21, 2017, before being temporarily put out of service until it is subject to an extensive restoration project."
Cumbria Clock has been responsible for cleaning the watch face, the chime mechanism and nearly a thousand parts of the watch.
Big Ben, which weighs about 5 tons and is about 7 feet high, is located inside the Elizabeth Tower in the Houses of Parliament in London and has been keeping time in London since 1859.
