The Stiko recommendation is missing, but the Ministry of Health has commented: A Bavarian district is therefore starting immediately with booster vaccinations for young people.

Accordingly, the Federal Ministry of Health made it clear that booster vaccinations with Biontech are also included in the approval for under 18-year-olds.

That doesn't change the fact that the Standing Vaccination Commission (Stiko) has not yet issued a recommendation for booster vaccinations for minors.

A refresher is also possible for 12-18 year olds three months after a full corona vaccination, according to Piberger.

And the demand seems to be great: “Starting from December 16.

400 children's vaccination appointments took place on a total of 11 days.

All available dates were quickly booked up, ”the message states.

Family vaccination days in Regensburg - district gives information

From January 8th there will be weekend family vaccination days at the vaccination center district office.

“Then there are family vaccination days every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In addition, all second vaccinations for the children will be carried out at the Nittendorf vaccination center from January 4th to 20th inclusive.

In the new year, first vaccinations will only take place on the weekends in the vaccination center in the district office, no longer at the vaccination center in Nittendorf, ”informs the district.

Child vaccinations

Interested parents can book appointments by phone on 0941 4009-444 (Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) or by email at impf-landkreis@landratsamt-regensburg.de.

It is not possible to make an appointment via the BayIMCO registration portal for child vaccinations at the district vaccination centers.

For logistical reasons, second vaccinations for children can only be offered at the vaccination center where the first vaccination took place.
