Li Shan, chairman of the Bauhinia Party, and Wu Junfei, president of the Policy Research Institute, led about 50 people to inspect the northern metropolitan area to discuss the opportunities and challenges of the local future development.
The Bauhinia Party visited Changpu Village in Yuen Long and the nearby Pat Heung Memorial Arch, Tang’s Family Ancestral Hall, St. John’s Church, etc. They also inspected lotus farms in the Hetao area, consulted villagers on the development of an innovation and technology park, and visited Lau Fau Shan seafood Street understands local livelihood issues.
Afterwards, the Bauhinia Party had a discussion with squires from Palxiang, Jintian Township and other places to understand the residents' demands and difficulties in the development of the northern metropolitan area.
The party members believe that there are problems with the original development model of the New Territories and call on the SAR government to unite and coordinate the interests of all parties and adopt a more scientific and professional plan to develop the New Territories.
The first Bauhinia Party’s “Workshop for Patriots Governing Hong Kong” opens to cultivate talents for governing Hong Kong. Misplanting the “People’s Republic of China” provokes the Bauhinia Party’s proposal to add the country’s name to the ID card. The law recommends that the Henan Heavy Rain Bauhinia Party raises funds to purchase disaster relief supplies to set up a team to assist Hong Kong people in the disaster area
