Her daughter, Romy, the up-and-coming skier for the Lenggries ski club, dreams of a career in skiing and of taking part in the World Cup one day.

In addition to school, she spends a lot of time on the slopes.

Everyday life between homework, training and often long car trips to competitions is, she says on the show, exhausting.

Nevertheless, the effort made is a lot of fun.

ZDF accompanies Romy Ertl at ski races and when attending school in Hohenburg

The result of the shooting was a multi-part report series. The viewer can watch the girls what progress they are making, but also how the corona restrictions are being dealt with. In the meantime the fourth part has already been broadcast. This documents the intensive preparation in autumn - despite a knee injury. And the girls have to do all of this in addition to face-to-face classes at school. The brisk drive at the start of the race can also be seen.

In the previous programs, the television team accompanied Romy Ertl while skiing and training at home, but also when she went to school in Hohenburg.

Romy Ertl was very enthusiastic: “As a partner school for winter sports, there is a lot of freedom for training and competitions.

Of course, the material and exams have to be made up for.

Sport and school together can sometimes be really exhausting. ”And yet the 14-year-old assures:“ There is nothing better for me, skiing is my dream, my life. ”

Romy Ertl: "I can't do anything for my mother"

If you want to be at the top, skiing is a year-round sport.

But there is not only training on glaciers.

Impressive pictures can be seen in the series of reports, for example from visiting an amusement park in Austria.

Romy Ertl is just as safe on water skiing as she is with her brother Luis and Mama Martina Ertl on a dizzying climbing path under a bridge.

The hopeful talent of course often hears that she would have a great advantage in having Martina Ertl as a mother.

Romy says: “But I can't help it.

However, I am very happy about it. "
