Looking ahead: All the great games of 2022

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo are preparing quite a few surprises for us, and these are all the titles that await us in what may be one of the big years in the gaming industry

The year 2022 Otto begins, and we want to look at all the great games we are going to get.

This year Sony is going to celebrate with two of its biggest titles and release two sequels, Bethesda's exclusive deal with Microsoft goes into action and we'll get an exclusive title for the first time just for the Xbox, and even Nintendo is expected to indulge in some sequels fans have been waiting for a long time.

Let's dive in.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction - January 2022

A co-op game on the net that is very reminiscent of the zombie mode of voice-of-duty games and combines the tactical gameplay of the Rainbow Six series.

The game will bring back some of the different characters from the game Rainbow Six Siege when each has different abilities in battle, and will position the players in the arenas against swarms of aliens and various creatures in which they will have to defend and fortify positions.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus - January 28th

The mythical Pokemon series is making its biggest change to date, and the new side game is taking players into the open-world and action-role-playing genre.

If in the classic Pokemon games the battles were turn-based, here it seems the players will be able to catch Pokemon roaming the world in real time around the map, and can choose to approach or retreat, and explore and explore the environment by riding the Pokemon captured at sea, land and air.

A welcome and refreshing change to the series for sure.

Dying Light 2 - February 4th

The sequel to Techland's anticipated game will reach us later this year and just like in the original game the players will have to navigate an open and huge world, gain resources and survive a deadly zombie epidemic while trying to preserve the little humanity left in them.

Watch lots of action, zombies and parkour.

CrossfireX - February 10th

A shooting and action game that is very similar in nature to a game like Voice of Duty, but given the creative developer Remedy, you can count on her to give the title its unique twist.

Total War: Warhammer 3 - February 17th

Sega's real-time strategy game returns to us and introduces us to and introduces us to two new human civilizations in addition to a new breed of cookies (Ogres) that we can control.

According to the developers, the main campaign map will be twice as big as the previous game.

Horizon Forbidden West - February 18th

The spin-off game of the Borderlands series revealed starring the character of the beloved Tiny Tina is finally getting a release date.

The gameplay will remain the same as in the original series and retain the loop of Loot and Shoot (or fluent Hebrew - "Tbzzo and shoot") and add a number of new capabilities in addition to the atmosphere of "Dungeons and Dragons" As we have been one expansion pack of Bordrlnds 2

Kirby and the Forgotten Land - Spring 2022

The pink block that is able to pump and eat everything gets a new game - Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl - April 28th

The action-horror-survival game returns for another round 13 years since the last title was released in the series.

Players will explore and try to survive the remnants of the nuclear Chernobyl, and discover a tough world populated with deadly mutants, and human survivors whose only desire is to survive and live, making them even more deadly.

Forspoken - May 25th

Another open-role action game (and not the last on our list) by Sqaure Enix that emphasizes the mobility and special abilities of the game's protagonist - Fry Holland, who was sent from the real world to the fantasy world Athia, and must find her way back Home.

Saints Row - August 23rd

The redneck and crazy cousin of the GTA series gets a new reboot and promises to be crazier than the previous games in the series (is that possible?).

Starfield - November 11th

Finally, after more than 25 years, Bethesda is working on a new original brand and not an existing sequel.

Sonic Frontiers - The holiday season of 2022

Sega's famous gaming icon, Sonic the Hedgehog, stars in a new game that brings the classic brand a makeover and according to what was presented to us in the exposure trailer, seems to be taking place for the first time in an open world.

It will be released for PC and PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles and Xbox One and Series X \ S.

The sequel to Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The game that Nintendo players have been waiting for this year.

Although two trailers have been revealed not much is known to us about the new game, and the little we know is that Link's character will get a number of new capabilities and the world map of Hyerol has also expanded to the skies themselves.

God of War: Ragnarok

If Zelda was the game of Nintendo players, there is no doubt that this may be Sony's game.

The sequel to God of War from 2018 will put an end to the story of Kratos and Arthreus in Norse mythology and bring them together against the other gods from Asgard, like Thor or Odin himself.

We look forward to an epic and action-packed experience and a breathtaking story, befitting the rest of the games in the series.

Marvel's Midnight Suns

The new tactical role-playing game starring Marvel Heroes will allow players to create their own custom character called The Hunter, who will join Marvel's superhero group and familiar characters like Captain America, Doctor Strange Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade and many more goodies.

Players will be able to put together their dream group from a selection of available heroes and explore different battle tactics using each hero's different abilities.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum

A new title in the "Lord of the Rings" universe in which we will play Gollum (No Pun Intended) and tell us the background story of the character.

Not much detail has been revealed so far, but the developers noted that the game will place a broad emphasis on stealth and the players' choices will have an impact on the game's plot and progression, and will have to decide what kind of character they listen to - the golem, or his split personality, Smigol.

Gotham Knights

A new game to take place in the Batman universe (but not directly related to the Arkham games released to date) will focus on the Bat family: players will control the characters of Knightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Echo Hood after the protagonist is killed in a mysterious explosion, and will face the mysterious crime organization Court of Owls trying to take over Gotham City.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

The open world will contain familiar places from the various Harry Potter books, and according to the developers the game will also include an election campaign that will determine whether the players belong to the good side or the dark side.

Ghostwire: Tokyo

The company that brought us The Evil Within Games brings us a new and mysterious title.

Tokyo residents have mysteriously disappeared and the city has begun to invade mysterious creatures from another world, where players will fight using various telekinesis and telepathy abilities.

A Plague Tale: Requiem

The sequel to the action-stealth title in 14th Century France gets a sequel trailer and features one of the most beautiful and impressive games we have seen to date.

There is no doubt that we are expecting a particularly busy year, and quite a few companies are about to use their heavy guns, and are starting to develop more and more games for the new generation consoles exclusively, but do not forget the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players either.

We can only hope that the games come out polished and meet all of our expectations, and wish us all a good civic year.
