Program presentation of the home guild - at least a touch of carnival

The Mardi Gras prince couple of the home guild is in office and dignity.

Instead of the New Year's Eve gala, the Highnesses received the town hall key at the internal program presentation.

For the show dance groups it was the first and perhaps only appearance of the season.

But you don't want to bury your hopes entirely.

Fürstenfeldbruck - "I would love

to be here at the New Year's Eve gala." Mayor Erich Raff would have entered the stage in the city hall, but in a probably more atmospheric setting.

But the gala has long been canceled due to Corona.

What remained was a more internal presentation of the home guild's show program, limited to 200 guests.

And the appearance of the mayor of Bruck was limited to the bare minimum: handing over the keys, two presents and an annual medal.

Prince couple motivated for the season

Princess Franzi I, real name Franziska Sophie Zapf, didn’t let the good mood spoil her - neither on the 110-minute long evening nor in the slightly different carnival season.

"It is so wonderful to be a princess, why should I let myself be pulled down there." So she will enjoy every minute until Mardi Gras on March 1st.

“It will definitely be a special season for me.” Just the fact that it was possible to appear in the Stadtsaal at all makes her happy.

Of course, the situation with the corona pandemic is very special, admits Prince Carsten I, whose full name is Carsten Bernhard Mück.

Nevertheless, it is important to keep Mardi Gras.

"And we are certainly not a prince couple without people and without fun", emphasizes the prince of the home guild.

He noticed the presentation very intensively.

"It really felt that the show and the program took place correctly," said Prince Carsten, comparing the presentation with the proclamation that lasted only half an hour in November.

Even if the spark did not really jump into the hall in view of the limited number of visitors to 200 - the high spirits of the prince couple carried over to the individual show dance groups with a total of 70 dancers.

Great anticipation with show dance groups

"The minis, children and teenagers in particular were really looking forward to the evening," said Gildemeister Daniel Brando.

“Everyone really wanted to show what they had been training for a whole year, at least once.” Brando says that there are inquiries for one or the other private event.

But that is all very uncertain.

The five show dance groups definitely deserved to step into the spotlight more often: Minis (with their motto “Disney All Stars”), the Brucker Kids (with “Great Moments”), Young Revolution (with “Walk of Fame”), No. Limits (with "Memories") and the Gaudibuam (with "Buam Gaudi") offered an atmospheric dance and musical arc.

Gildemeister Brando and his deputy Susanne Droth do not give up hope that one or the other appearance will be added.

For the last carnival weekend in February, therefore, children's carnivals and guards meetings remain in the calendar for the time being.

“Maybe we'll move it outdoors, because the conditions are not that strict at the moment,” explained Droth.

The presentation in the event forum went smoothly with the specifications and the control at the entrance - although not only had the vaccination status proven, but also a current negative test had to be submitted.

"We were safer than some private parties," said Brando.

Nevertheless, at the end of the presentation he appealed to the citizens: "Perhaps more such events would be possible if more could be vaccinated."
