Thoughts of New Year's celebrations are heartwarming - but as far as the forecast is concerned, it seems that 2021 will be a very cool parting from us, and 2022 will also give us a relatively cool welcome.
The weather today will be partly cloudy, with strong easterly winds.
In the afternoon, local rain will begin, and it is expected to intensify at night - the night of the beginning of the civil year.
The showers are expected to drop from the north to the center, and there may also be thunderstorms.
On New Year's Eve, the thermometer will be about 14 degrees in Tel Aviv, as well as in Haifa; in Jerusalem the temperature will be 10 degrees, in Be'er Sheva - 13 and in Eilat - 17.
Tomorrow many will wake up from the festivities to partly cloudy weather.
Later on Saturday, the rains will return, especially in the south and east, and there is a risk of flooding in these areas.
In the rest of the country, strong east winds will blow, and with them - presumably - also a spirit of optimism for the new year.
