Guy's childhood friends at night, creator of the Bnei Or series, are still having a hard time digesting his death.

In a conversation with Walla!

They tell of a talented man with extraordinary abilities who was characterized by tremendous giving.

Balila, who co-wrote with his friend Elad Bitton the series depicting his youth on Bnei Or Street in Be'er Sheva, has become a highly sought-after artist in recent years, but his friends remember his uniqueness from childhood.

"He came here when we were young," says Rafi Levy, a childhood friend of Balila from sixth grade.

"When he moved to the neighborhood, we became a duo. It is very difficult for me to talk about him in the past tense. Guy and I gained many experiences together, and after the army we moved to Eilat together."

Levy described Balila as having a powerful talent and a rare caring for his friends, according to which Benny Orr was just the beginning of a glorious future career.

"He treated everyone the same. He would sit with waiters in cafes and with industry executives and treat everyone the same way. He was not interested in status or money."

The crime drama aired in April, and is based on real events that took place on Bnei Or Street in the B neighborhood of Be'er Sheva, after which it is named. At its center is a group of boys in a distressed neighborhood who decide to make money through drug trafficking.

"The series was written about a gang from the Bnei Or neighborhood. They were not our gang, but we knew them," he shares. "We lived near a neighborhood and just saw situations. He talked about this series long before it was written, and always said it would be cool to write about this street. When it came out I told myself it was just the beginning, I always knew his breakthrough would come, not whether it would happen - but When".

According to Levy, Guy recently worked on a script for a new series.

"I have lived in Tel Aviv for many years, and once every two months he would come to stay with me. He treated everyone the same. He would sit with waiters in cafes and with industry executives and everyone treated him the same way. He was not interested in status or money. He was the best friend. "My best and most special thing. He had an ambition that I did not see, the proverb" there is nothing that stands in the way of desire "was written right on it."

"He brought the word happiness back into my life."

Ran Fahima lived as a child in the Bnei Or neighborhood and was a close friend of Balila. "I grew up here, in this neighborhood," he told Walla !. "Guy would not live here, he would come to the neighborhood to visit me when we were children and teenagers. We were close friends. Guy was the funniest person I have ever known and everyone testifies to that. Every situation he became something comical. He was unusually talented. He had "A special talent, wherever he went, left a mark."

According to Fahima, the neighborhood was known as a place where drugs were traded, but not in an unusual way compared to the rest of the country. "The kids here grew up very quickly," he says. "In this series there are a lot of extras like in any series, but it's a completely normative neighborhood. There are a lot of things that are reminiscent of the neighborhood even today. It was a boring and normative machine, not of criminals. Today the place looks very different, the street much more well-kept than it was in our childhood."

"Everywhere he went he left a mark."

"I have no way of explaining it. He is one and only, there is no one like him - in energy, creativity and giving"

Sarit Turgeman and Orly Levin were close friends of Guy, and the three were part of a youth gang that has kept in touch for years. "Guy was the author's glue," they say. "Everyone always wanted to be by his side. He had a kind of good energy that would attract friends." According to them, near Guy could have been without masks. "There was a kind of feeling that you could be who you really are."

Levin shares that at night he was very attached to his family and very loyal to his friends. "20 years ago I went through severe trauma," says Orly. "I was seriously injured in the attack when I was a soldier. I was in the hospital and Guy was the only one who managed to make me laugh. He brought the word happiness back into my life."

Turgeman will never forget her first meeting with her at night. "From his first sentence we connected," she recalls. "I have no way of explaining it. He is one and only, there is no one like him - in energy, creativity and giving."

"Everyone always wanted to be by his side."

According to the companies, at night he made sure to be accurate and did not compromise on his works, including Bnei Or.

They add that Balila had a deep love for Be'er Sheva, where he decided to continue living.

"He was always true to his feelings. Always precise and sharp. Guy seemed to be watching from the sidelines. He was not part of the gang in question."

Oren Cohen played Bnei Or, but between him and him at night a friendship developed between the years before the filming.

He said the two planned to present a radio show together soon, a show that would never materialize.

"It's hard to talk about him in the past tense, I knew Guy many years before the series came up," he shares and asks Guy's friends and acquaintances to do good deeds in his memory.

"He told about the plan to write the series. He had a great love for home and his mother. He is a special breed, he was full of love."
