Excellence in performance and results that enabled them to participate in local and foreign championships in badminton were factors that brought together the brothers Waseem, Raneem and Amir Al-Hasbani to achieve achievements that reflected their love for this sport since their childhood.

Waseem’s older brother, 16 years old, started his career in Taekwondo and football, then moved to playing badminton with the encouragement of his parents and his desire to record a special achievement in his name in this sport that he loves since his childhood, where he was supervised by coaches Haitham Masoud and Wasila Hatem. He enjoys it and after 3 months of continuous training, he won the governorate championship for the under-15-year-olds category, and today he is preparing to participate in the Republic Championship competitions in the under-17-year-olds category, expressing his determination and ambition to achieve high ranks at the local and Arab levels.

As for his sister, Raneem, 14, she started with chess and achieved second place in the governorate championship in the category of under 8 years, but her passion for badminton prompted her to join the Badminton Training Center in As-Suwayda Governorate under the supervision of coach Wassila Hatem, which qualified her to win advanced positions in many of the republic’s championships and call for camps. The national team and its recent representation in the West Asian Championship that was held in Bahrain, in which it won a bronze medal in the singles competition and a silver in the doubles competition.

Raneem continues, according to her, her intensive training to continue to reap the results, raise the flag of Syria high in international forums, and overcome all the difficulties facing her path.

Despite the start of the younger brother Amir of 10 years with tennis and achieving several positions at the governorate level in the categories (under 8 and under 12), his influence on his brothers pushed him to move to badminton, in which he achieved with his first participation the third place in the Republic Championship for the under-class category 11 years old and he is preparing for a similar tournament in the coming days.

Badminton, Amir learned that nothing is impossible with determination and will, as he described, expressing his ambition to become an international champion in this sport.

The parents have the most important role in following up their children and motivating them to achieve excellence and excellence in any field, which was done by the mother of the three brothers, Sawsan Al-Bunni, a member of the Higher Committee for Physical Strength for Special Sports, and a former republican champion in physical strength. In the hearts of their children and encourage them to practice sports and achieve achievement and excellence in sports and studies together.
