Virologist and corona expert Christian Drosten was discovered in the Franconian town of Lauf ad Pegnitz in the form of graffiti.

Is it a real Bansky?

Lauf ad Pegnitz - He is one of the leading science experts when it comes to the coronavirus and has been at the federal government's side in an advisory capacity since the beginning of the pandemic: Christian Drosten, virologist and professor at the Charité in Berlin.

Due to his frequent media presence, the expert should now be known to the vast majority of Germans.

Many see the 49-year-old as a kind of hero in the fight against the coronavirus, for some he even seems to be a superhero.

At least one discovery was made in the Franconian town of Lauf ad Pegnitz that portrays him in exactly the same way: Drosten as Superman.

Is it even the work of a well-known artist?

Nuremberg: virologist Christian Drosten appeared as a comic figure in a Franconian city - a real Bansky?

The discoverer apparently does not suspect it, but still shared the wall drawing on Twitter.

“It wasn't Banksy, but it was a no less creative graffiti artist in the small town of Lauf ad Pegnitz in Central Franconia,” he wrote under a photo that shows the drawn Christian Drosten in the costume of the popular cartoon character Superman.

"Super Drosten" holds the virus in one hand, which he is about to sink into a basketball hoop like a ball.

In the other hand he is holding an issue of the

newspaper - presumably an allusion to the past conflict between the scientist and the tabloid.

The drawing actually comes very close to the style of the anonymous street artist Bansky, who keeps his true identity a secret and wants to offer an alternative perspective on political issues with his graffiti artworks. On Instagram you can find a profile of the artist, who calls herself Nicki Iggi. “Super Drosten is back in da house,” she wrote under a photo of the wall drawing. On another picture, which shows the creation process of the work of art, you can see that she also worked with the stencil graffiti technique. Apparently there is also a copy of the “Super Drosten” in the Franconian town of Hersbruck. Numerous users commented on the photo and were enthusiastic. “Wow, just spotted it on Twitter. Just wow! ”Wrote a user there, for example.“Really cool” and “great work” read on in the comments. (
