Qusai Ballan and Wissam Khaddaj, players of the Suwayda Taekwondo team, won the national team selection tests for the youth category, which was recently hosted by Al-Jalaa Hall in Damascus.
The coach of the Suwayda Taekwondo national team, Ashraf Al-Hakim, indicated that the two players' wins in the tests were a medal with a weight of under 48 kg and a Qusay with a weight of over 73 kg, which reflects the extent of the technical level they enjoy and their ability to represent the national team well in foreign tournaments during the coming period.
Al-Hakim pointed out that the players will be summoned to the national team camp during the current month in preparation for the Fujairah and Arab Championships in the UAE next month, indicating that Wissam also has an opportunity to participate in the Russian championship in the seventh month.
It is noteworthy that Qusai Ballan, 17, and Wissam Khaddaj, 16, have previously won many national and local championships in As-Suwayda.
