The fire brigade in Hohenlinden had to cope with a dicey mission: thick smoke came from a company building.

Hohenlinden

- On Thursday, December 30th, 2021, at around 8:15 p.m., an attentive resident announced a smoke development in a company building in Steinstrasse in Hohenlinden.

The Ebersberg police reported this on Saturday.

As a result, a total of nine emergency vehicles from the Hohenlinden, Mittbach and Ebersberg fire brigades arrived and quickly brought the fire under control.

Pictures from the operation show that thick clouds of smoke had previously penetrated the building.

An air freshener caught fire

According to the police, a roll container caught fire in an office room, probably due to a technical defect in a battery-operated air freshener, so that it burned down completely and the adjacent office wall was also affected.

The property damage caused amounts to around 10,000 euros, according to an estimate by the officials.

It has not yet been clarified whether additional office equipment was damaged.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is being carried out by the Ebersberg police station.

Nobody got hurt.

Seat of fire behind closed doors

In order to get to the source of the fire, the Hohenlinden fire brigade had to forcibly open the locked front door of the building, while at the same time a team from the Ebersberg fire brigade broke open the also locked back door.

“After the fire had been extinguished, the building was made smoke-free using two high-pressure fans.

In the course of the mission, the building was made gas-free and electricity-free, ”the fire brigade continues.
