The European continent has crossed the threshold of 100 million cases of corona that have been monitored since the outbreak of the new virus, which is equivalent to more than a third of the total cases in the world, according to an AFP statistic.

And the agency indicated in a report published today, based on the data published daily by the health authorities in each country, that the total number of HIV infections in Europe reached 100 million and 74 thousand and 753 cases, or more than a third of the infections worldwide, amounting to 288 million and 279 thousand and 803 cases.

The continent is currently witnessing unprecedented levels of infection, with more than 4.9 million cases recorded in the past seven days, an increase of 59 percent over the previous week, and 17 countries and regions of Europe recorded record weekly injuries.

The report indicated that, with the exception of small countries, the ten countries that recorded the highest infection rate in the world are located in Europe, starting with Denmark, Cyprus, Ireland and France, pointing out that a large proportion of the less serious cases or those whose owners do not show symptoms remain undetected despite the intensification of examinations in many countries since the beginning of the epidemic.
