A 14-year-old was hit by a car on New Year's Eve in the city of Halle (Saale).
The youth died in the hospital from his injuries.
Halle - The fatal accident in the city of Halle (Saxony-Anhalt) shocked.
According to the current state of knowledge, the boy (14) was hit by a car in Freyburger Strasse around 9:30 p.m. on New Year's Eve and seriously injured.
He was taken to the hospital, where he died shortly afterwards, the police said on Saturday morning.

After the accident, the driver fled.
"The vehicle left the scene of the accident in breach of duty," said the police.
The investigation continued.
Much is still unclear at first.
The fatal hit-and-run accident is only briefly listed in the “New Year's Eve balance sheet” in the police press release.
For tactical investigative reasons, they do not want to provide any further information about the course of the accident, the media quoted a police spokeswoman.
