More than 100,000 students will study remotely tomorrow (Sunday) with the entry into force of the updated traffic light list.
In total there are about 45,000 students in distance learning classes as well as 62,000 in isolation because they have been exposed to a verified patient.
It is important to note in this context that in many cities leaders make the decision that if one brother is in isolation - his brothers do not reach the frameworks either.
In the new list of traffic lights, you can find in the list of orange cities - where you study remotely in post-primary education (7-12) if there are less than 70% vaccinated - some large cities including Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan and more.

According to the outline approved this week by the Knesset's Education Committee,
first- to fourth-grade
studies
at an elementary school located in the area of a red local authority and in which a student who received a positive test result was discovered will be conducted as far as possible according to one or more of the following alternatives. Learning that combines face-to-face learning with distance learning, or learning in another way that involves reducing contact between students in the classroom, outside or outside the school space, or online learning. All of these will be accepted subject to the decision of the school principal.
Fifth to sixth grade
studies
at an elementary school located in the area of a red local authority and where a student who received a positive result on a corona test was found, will be held in an open area or through face-to-face learning with distance learning, or other ways of reducing classroom contact. Inside the school grounds, outside it or in the open space, or online learning.
All this in accordance with the decision of the school principal.
The difference between grades 1-4 and 5-6 is that in grades 5-6 the director of the institution is obliged to take some measure to reduce contacts between the students, while in grades 1-4 he must act to reduce contacts as much as possible.
According to the Knesset Education Committee's document, "reducing contacts" means studying in an open space inside or outside the school, in a way that is spacious among the students, such as studying in sports halls, hybrid learning or online learning.
In schools in the red authorities where no verified student has been found will be able to continue studying as usual.
Also, the reduction of contacts applies only when a verified discovery is made in the same school in the authority defined as red and not in respect of all schools in which authority comes.
