The Omicron variant virus is raging around the world, and it has even flowed into the local community through the crew.

The government announced this evening (1st) that another first positive case was found, which initially showed that a mutant virus strain was involved. After evaluation, it was decided to restrict the Nantian Building on King’s Road in North Point as a designated “restricted area” from 7 pm onwards. Outside the restaurant on the 1st floor and the 2nd floor of Nantian Building, all persons in the premises must undergo compulsory testing.

The Nantian Building is the second "closed area" location today after Block 6, Ying Tao Heen, Phase II, Bayfront Park, Tung Chung.

The government will set up a temporary sampling station in the "restricted area", and the subject must be tested by 1:00 am tomorrow (2nd).

Persons with mobility impairments or the elderly will be arranged for on-site sampling.

The government's goal is to complete the operation at about 7 o'clock tomorrow morning.

If someone holds the test certificate from the previous day (December 30) to the present day, they can be exempted from testing, but they must remain in the premises until "unblocked".

Any relevant person who fails to comply with the mandatory testing announcement is a crime and is liable to a fixed fine of 5,000 yuan and will receive a mandatory testing order requiring the person to be tested within the specified period.

Failure to comply with mandatory testing orders or restrictions and testing declarations is a crime and is punishable by a fourth-level fine (25,000 yuan) and imprisonment for six months.
