In the midst of a very critical health situation, Palestinian prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash continues his open hunger strike for the 138th day in protest against the continuing Israeli occupation crimes against the prisoners.
Imad Abu Hawash told Ma'an News Agency that his brother Hisham has not fully recovered since 3 am today, which means that he is beginning to enter a coma that poses a serious threat to his life, calling on the International Committee of the Red Cross and human rights organizations to take urgent action and pressure the occupation to release him.
The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission warned that the prisoner Abu Hawash is in a circle of extreme danger, stressing that the intransigence of the occupation and its refusal to release him is a slow killing that the international community must intervene to stop it.
The occupation forces arrested Abu Hawash, 40, from the town of Dura, south of Hebron, in October 2020. He has also been arrested several times since 2003, with a total of 8 years of detention.
