The Office of the Minister of the Interior Ayelet Shaked today (Sunday) published a summary of the voluntary exit data of infiltrators from Sudan and Eritrea for 2021. From the data rising during 2021, 1,514 infiltrators from Eritrea and Sudan voluntarily went to different countries.
A summary released by the Office of the Minister of the Interior further stated that among the countries to which they went, Canada stood out, with 1,038 infiltrators and Eritrea, with 78 infiltrators.
By comparison, in 2020 728 infiltrators voluntarily left.
Most of the infiltrators staying in Israel are citizens of Eritrea and Sudan.
So far, the State of Israel has not forcibly alienated these countries, but has acted successfully to voluntarily expel many thousands to their countries of origin.
The Population and Immigration Authority monitors developments in these countries in cooperation with various government ministries, in order to create an outline that will encourage the voluntary departure of infiltrators from Israel, whether to the countries of origin or to a safe third country.
The Population and Immigration Authority said it intends to "continue to encourage voluntary exit, strengthen important cooperation with Canada and even strive to expand it to other countries."
