The authorities in Burkina Faso announced the killing of 29 terrorists and the wounding of 11 soldiers in an armed attack on units of the defense and security forces in the northwest of the country.
"Yesterday, armed men targeted the sites of military units and gendarmerie units in the area of the observation mission in the town of Gomboro in the Bucle Domohon province, killing 29 terrorists and wounding 11 soldiers," AFP quoted an army statement as saying.
The number of armed attacks by groups linked to the terrorist organization (Al-Qaeda) and (ISIS) has increased recently in northern Burkina Faso, and these attacks have killed about two thousand people and displaced 1.4 million others since 2015.
