Dozens of Palestinians during a stand in the besieged Gaza Strip in solidarity with the prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash, who has been on hunger strike for 139 days, called on the international community to urgently intervene to save his life.
Ma'an News Agency stated that the participants in the sit-down organized by the Palestinian prisoners' institutions and national forces in front of the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Gaza Strip raised the Palestinian flag and pictures of the prisoner Abu Hawash, calling on the United Nations to pressure the occupation to release him and stop the continuous violations of the rights of Palestinian prisoners in its detention.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners face harsh detention conditions, including 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
