Foreign Minister Yair Lapid spoke today (Sunday) with his deputy in the Idan Roll office, following his participation in the New Year's party, contrary to the recommendations.
At Lapid's office, Sharul said he did not go through the procedures, but Lapid made it clear to him that public figures are expected to pay extra attention to visibility in order to set a personal example.
On New Year's Eve, the deputy minister was documented dancing without a mask at a crowded party.
This is despite the increase in the morbidity and spread of the Omicron strain in Israel.
The documentation from the party was uploaded to Instagram by the deputy minister's partner, singer Harel Skaat.

In a video uploaded by Skaat to the story, it was written at 02:13 at night, and Roll was documented dancing alongside many participants and the festive backdrop that characterizes a New Year's Eve party.
Shortly after sharing the video, Skaat deleted the same story.
Deputy Minister Roll's office said: "This is a private event held in accordance with Corona's procedures and guidelines, in addition to which all participants were required to present a negative Corona test from the day of the incident for added security."
