Raccoon in need!

The animal clung helplessly to a board in the Wedel Elbhafenanlage.

Passers-by discovered the poor creature.

Bad Segeberg - The emergency call came in at around 1:08 p.m.: Passers-by had noticed a “furry four-legged friend” on a board in a helpless position in the port facility - this was followed by an “unusual use of wild animals”, as the Bad Segeberg police announced.

The raccoon no longer came out of the Elbe port facility in Wedel near Pinneberg (Schleswig-Holstein) on its own.

The animal clung to a board.

Fire brigade comrades pulled the raccoon into a rubber dinghy.

The completely exhausted animal was then taken to a wildlife sanctuary in a transport box.

The animal rescue occurred on Thursday.

It was initially unclear whether the little raccoon had recovered in the meantime.

A drunk raccoon caused a stir at the Christmas market in Erfurt.

The curious case, however, came to a bitter end.

Raccoons are also spreading in Berlin.

Good food, a suitable climate and no natural enemies - the animals feel at home in the capital.
