After eight rounds without results, the nuclear talks in Vienna are expected to resume tomorrow • For Iran, the necessary condition is the removal of all sanctions, which the powers refuse for the time being.

The nuclear talks between the powers and Iran will resume tomorrow (Monday) after eight rounds without results.

This is a continuation of the previous round which went on hiatus following the end of the civil year vacation.

The previous round ended with optimistic statements among the signatory countries in the background.

Iran's indispensable condition is the removal of all sanctions on its economy and this is a prime requirement for Tehran to re-sign the agreement.

Before the delegates went on holiday, the Russian ambassador to international organizations in the Austrian capital, Mikhail Ulyanov, estimated that the parties were expected to reach an understanding by mid-February.

At the same time, there are no guarantees for this and Ulyanov also claimed a few weeks ago that this is probably the decisive round.

A news agency close to the regime claimed that China and Russia had persuaded Tehran to be flexible in some of its principled positions.

The latest round was marked by accusations by the Iranians against Western countries, led by France, which on Friday publicly condemned Iran after launching a ballistic missile "for research purposes" in the wake of negotiations with the West.

"These activities are even more unfortunate because they come as we move forward in talks," the French Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The United States and Germany also criticized the act.

In parallel with the dialogue in Vienna, the Iranians mark the second anniversary of the assassination of the Quds Force commander of the Revolutionary Guards, General Qassem Suleimani, who was killed in a US operation by a missile fired from a UAV while leaving Iraqi airport along with Hezbollah militant leader Abu Mahdi al-Mahdi. - Engineer.

As a reminder, Iran, Russia, China, Britain, Germany, France and the US have (indirectly) been negotiating since June in an attempt to revive the original 2015 agreement, an agreement that the White House unilaterally left during the 45-year presidency. Donald Trump in 2019.
