Sunday January 2nd

Schongau - traffic accident with a slightly injured cyclist:

On December 31, around 12:55 p.m. there was a traffic accident between a car and a cyclist in Schongau West. The 50-year-old car driver drove his vehicle on Schönlinder Strasse in Schongau and wanted to turn right at the intersection with Marktoberdorfer Strasse. At the confluence with Marktoberdorfer Strasse, a 69-year-old cyclist drove on the cycle path and wanted to cross Schönlinder Strasse. The cyclist overlooked the right-of-way car and was hit head-on by it. As a result of the impact, the cyclist fell first on the bonnet and then on the ground. Fortunately, the cyclist was only slightly injured in the fall. Property damage to the car amounted to approx. 500 euros. 

Eglfing - Accident with two injured motorcyclists:

On New Year's Eve at 2:45 p.m., two Murnau residents aged 18 and 16 drove south on the B2. They rode their light motorcycles, both with a pillion passenger. About 500 meters before the Spatzenhausen roundabout, the 16-year-old had to brake due to the traffic, which the man behind did not notice in time and therefore threw the man in front. While the 18-year-old and his co-driver got away unhurt, the younger of the two was injured as well as the 17-year-old co-driver. Property damage totaling approx. 1,000 euros was caused to the two motorcycles.

Polling - traffic accident with motorcycle:

A 21-year-old woman from Schongau drove on December 31st. with your motorcycle on the B2 in a southerly direction. In the Ettinger Senke area, she pulled out to overtake a car driving in front of her. Due to a driving error, she lost control of the motorcycle, already in the opposite lane, and turned right off the lane, where it overturned and remained in the ditch. She was slightly injured in the accident and the motorcycle was damaged by an estimated 2,000 euros.

Peißenberg - accident escape in the parking lot

: On December 30th, 2021 a 75-year-old Peißenberger parked his car in the parking lot of the Rewe store in Peißenberg. In the period from 5:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., an unknown vehicle hit the rear right fender of the parked car, causing damage of around 600 euros. The driver then left the scene of the accident. Information on this case can be obtained from PI Weilheim on 0881/6400.

Weilheim - rear damage to a parked car, the cause is unknown:

A 29-year-old woman from Weilheim noted on December 30th.

found around noon that her car (a black Skoda Fabia), which she had parked in Färbergasse the day before at around 3:30 p.m., had scratches on the rear.

The unknown cause of the accident apparently drove on without taking care of the claims settlement.

Traces of yellow paint were found on the Weilheimer’s car, presumably from the perpetrator’s vehicle.

Now it is determined because of unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident, there was a property damage to the value of approx. 1000, -Euros.

Witnesses who have made observations in this regard are asked to report to the Weilheim police station on 0881/6400.

Peißenberg - drunk driver causes accident:

A traffic accident was reported to the Weilheim police on December 30, 2021 at around 2 p.m. A 55-year-old from Hohenpeißenberg wanted to drive his car at the western exit of Peißenberg onto the B472 in the direction of Hohenpeißenberg, then, for incomprehensible reasons, maneuvered in the junction area and finally drove towards the traffic island there. He ran over a give-way sign and caused property damage totaling around 700 euros. When the accident was recorded, a patrol from the Weilheim police found a strong alcohol smell and visible alcoholism in the Hohenpeißenberger. A breath alcohol test carried out on site revealed a breath alcohol concentration of well over 1.5 per mille. A blood sample was taken from the driver and his driver's license was secured.

Weilheim - Escape from an accident at the supermarket

A 60-year-old from Weilheim was on December 30th. with his wife on a shopping spree in Weilheim. Between 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., the two of them bought first at Lidl and then at Edeka on Münchener Strasse and parked their car (a brown Skoda Fabia) in the customer parking lot there. When the Weilheimer finally wanted to get back into his car after running errands at the Edeka, he discovered fresh accident damage on the left side of the vehicle. The couple could not rule out that the damage had already been caused in the Lidl parking lot. The estimated property damage is approx. 2500 euros. Please contact the Weilheim police station on 0881/6400 for information on who caused the accident.

Schongau - Burglary and riot in the kindergarten:

In the period between December 23rd and December 30th, several unknown people gained access to the St-Franziskus-Kindergarten in Schongau and damaged a door in the sanitary area.

In addition to an extremely minor steal damage to two drinking bottles, there was property damage in the amount of 200 euros.

How these people got access to kindergarten is not yet known.

Witnesses are asked to report to the Schongau police on 08861 / 2346-0.
