Demand of the CSU: Away with the account fees for pensioners

If it went according to the plans of the CSU, pensioners should look forward to financial relief: The CSU regional group in the Bundestag is calling for a "free basic account for seniors".
The current inflation and, at the same time, rising account fees are affecting pensioners in particular, according to a draft resolution for the state group's exam next week, from which the "Bild am Sonntag" quoted.
Therefore, there should be special accounts for them in the future, with which the direct debit or transfer of pension, rent and insurance are free.

"We want to specifically relieve pensioners," said CSU regional group leader Alexander Dobrindt of the "BamS".
The principle must apply: "Small pensions must not be burdened with large fees."
In addition, according to "BamS", the CSU wants to introduce a "super lump sum" for annual incomes below 60,000 euros for 2021 and 2022.
Accordingly, an additional thousand euros should be able to be deducted from the tax.
The CSU also wants to make childcare costs completely deductible, align the tax-free allowance for children with that for adults and raise the tax relief amount for single parents to 5000 euros.
Exam in Berlin instead of in Bavaria
The traditional retreat of the CSU regional group will not be held in the Seeon Monastery as usual on January 6th and 7th, but in Berlin due to the corona.
After a year of negative headlines - the mask affair, the failed candidate for chancellor by Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder and the lost federal election - the party is trying to renew itself.
