The branch of the Badia Development, Administration and Protection Authority in As-Suwayda implemented a plan for cultivating pastoral plants from dung and all kinds of manure within the Al-Haradiyah Protectorate in the Badia Governorate.
The director of the authority’s branch, Eng. Omar Karkout, indicated in a statement to SANA reporter today that the planted plants amounted to more than ninety thousand plants, characterized by good technical specifications, and their source is the production field in the pastoral ere nursery, pointing out that they constitute an alternative fodder source for livestock, which is rich in a high percentage of protein.
Karkout pointed out that the planted plants are added to about 100,000 plants that were planted within the same reserve last season, and the success rate was about 70 percent.
The area of the Al-Hadria Reserve is about 4 thousand hectares and the cultivated areas are about 1,400 hectares.
