The ICAC’s first training camp for secondary school students, the "iPLUS-iTeen Leadership Training Camp", has ended recently. More than 30 secondary school students have the opportunity to simulate law enforcement experience and play the role of ICAC investigators to track, search apartments or vehicles to find evidence.

Students also visited the Legal Center and Moot Court to understand the concept of the rule of law and the importance of abiding by the law, hoping to nurture the core values ​​of honesty and integrity for the younger generation.

The ICAC’s three-day "iPLUS-iTeen Leadership Training Camp" ended on December 30 last year. More than 30 "iTeen leaders" from 12 middle schools through various activities designed by the Executive Office Training School and the Social Relations Office, Experience the work of the Executive Office and understand the concept of the rule of law and the importance of abiding by the law. The training camp also cooperates with the Department of Justice to promote the importance of safeguarding the rule of law.

On the first day of the training camp, students learn about the work of the ICAC and the Hong Kong judicial system, and visit the facilities in the ICAC building.

On the second day, I simulated law enforcement experience at the Tuen Mun ICAC training camp, such as arresting suspects, tracking and searching operations. The students acted as investigators in simulated cases and were assigned to follow up. They also had to conduct searches in the apartment or vehicle of the person involved. Find useful evidence.

On the third day, we will visit the Legal Center and Moot Court of the Department of Justice. Staff of the Department of Justice will explain the Hong Kong judicial system, the functions of the Department of Justice, and other knowledge about the rule of law. Then we will visit the former Court of Final Appeal.

This training camp is an additional training project for the ICAC’s "High School iTeen Leadership Program" this school year. It aims to enable students from the fourth and fifth grades to have a taste of the work of the "Investigation Officer" of the Executive Office. The ICAC expects young leaders Able to achieve the "integrity" (honesty), "Perseverance" (perseverance), "Law abidingness" (identification of the importance of the rule of law), "Uncompromising self-values" (positive values) and "Smart" (difficulty solving) in "iPLUS" ability).
