In Hohenfels, Bavaria, a young man freaked out during a rescue mission.
He drove the paramedics to flight with a machete.
Hohenfels - During a police operation in Hohenfels, the emergency services were threatened with a machete.
As the police announced, the paramedics were called to the man's apartment in the Neumarkt district in Upper Palatinate early on Sunday morning, January 2nd.
It is still unclear who called the paramedics.
According to the police, the rescue workers were alerted about a "medical emergency" and ordered to the 19-year-old's apartment.

When the rescue workers arrived at the 19-year-old's apartment, according to the first police information, they “went crazy” and attacked the paramedics with a machete.
A spokesman for the police said they then “left the apartment in a hurry”.
A machete is originally a South American machete with a strong blade.
In Europe it is traded as a weapon.

Due to the unpredictable danger situation, a team from the Special Operations Command (SEK) was called in.
The officers overpowered the 19-year-old and arrested him.
Nobody got hurt.
Now the police are investigating the background to the operation as well as the circumstances of the threatening course of events.
