She was classified as a close household contact the next day and was arranged to be quarantined at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center.

She developed a sore throat on January 1. The test result of the sample taken today was initially positive, with a Ct value greater than 30, and the test result of the mutant virus strain is pending.



The Centre for Health Protection announced that the female patient worked on the 15th floor of Sandoz Centre, 178-182 Texaco Road, Tsuen Wan, and the last date to work was December 30.

The patient had been vaccinated with two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong on June 19 and July 16.

The places she worked and visited during the incubation period will be included in the mandatory testing announcement.



The Center for Health Protection continued to point out that so far, a total of about 340 close contacts and household contacts of close contacts have been arranged to go to the quarantine center for quarantine, including 22 restaurant staff and about 170 diners who dine at the restaurant at the same time.

The center once again urged those who had come to Wangyue Tower to have a meal between 1 pm and 3 pm on December 27 to call the central hotline 2125 1111 or 2125 1122 as soon as possible, so that the center can conduct epidemiological investigations and contact tracing work.

She arrived in Hong Kong on December 31 from Finland via the Netherlands and Thailand on flight KL819. When she arrived in Hong Kong, the sample at the temporary sample collection center tested positive, involving N501Y and T478K mutant virus strains.

The places she has lived and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement.
