A series of powerful storms destroyed homes, felled trees and cut power in parts of the southern United States.
And the Associated Press reported that the storms damaged homes, prompting authorities to close roads in Hazel Green, Alabama, after a number of power lines were cut due to the storm.
The stormy weather also damaged the supermarket chain "Wal-Mart" in the area, which is located about 24 kilometers north of Huntsville.
