The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Moscow's readiness to work with Washington on Ukraine in any way, stressing that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements.

In response to a question about the possibility of resuming bilateral consultations between Russia and the United States on Ukraine, similar to the meetings that were taking place between Russian Assistant President Vladislav Surkov and US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland during the administration of former US President Barack Obama, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said, according to TASS. This question should be directed primarily to American partners, and we, for our part, are ready to cooperate in any way on the principle that Washington supports, which is that there is no alternative to the Minsk agreements and that it is impossible to resolve the conflict without granting a special status to Donbass.”

Rudenko indicated that his country realizes that the participation of the US side will have a positive effect.

Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov confirmed that NATO countries are systematically turning Ukraine into a military base against Russia.

It is noteworthy that the Russian Foreign Ministry distributed on the seventeenth of this month two draft Russian documents on legal security guarantees requested by the United States and NATO regarding their role in Europe.
