Schleswig-Holstein is tightening the protection rules in view of the spreading Corona variant Omikron.

For events, the number of participants will be limited to a maximum of 50 indoors and 100 outdoors from Tuesday.

The contact restriction for vaccinated or convalescent people to a maximum of ten people no longer only applies in the home, but also in public spaces.

Prime Minister Daniel Günther (CDU) called on the federal government to reinstate the expired legal basis of the epidemic situation of national scope.

The goal must be "to have all the necessary instruments in the fight against the pandemic available".

Günther asked the President of the State Parliament, Klaus Schlie, to convene a special session of Parliament for January 10th.

The coalition leaders also agreed that dance events must in principle be reported to the authorities.
