A car driver (75) caused a serious accident by carelessness on the A94 motorway near Parsdorf (Vaterstetten municipality).

Parsdorf / A94 -

On Sunday, January 2, at around 1:55 p.m., a traffic accident with three vehicles involved occurred shortly before the Munich-East motorway junction on the A 94 in the direction of Munich.

According to the police, a 75-year-old from the Altlandkreis Wasserburg am Inn was driving a VW towards Munich and, according to witness statements, changed the lane to the right shortly before the motorway junction at Parsdorf (municipality of Vaterstetten).

However, a long traffic jam had already formed in the two right-hand lanes.

In this, a 52-year-old from the district of Dillingen an der Donau stood in line with his VW behind a 60-year-old from the district of Erding with his Audi.

However, the 75-year-old overlooked this traffic jam when changing lane and drove head-on into the left rear of the other VW.

As a result of this impact, the traffic police continue to report, it pushed the second VW onto the Audi waiting in front of it.

The two VW drivers and their four passengers were slightly injured as a result of these two collisions.

The Audi driver was uninjured.

The six slightly injured were brought to the surrounding hospitals for further examination and treatment by means of several ambulances.

The police said: "Six people were slightly injured in the traffic accident and there was an estimated property damage in the amount of approx. 27,000 euros."
