Region - The Police Headquarters Swabia South / West looks back on a "generally normal course" of New Year's Eve.
In most cases the officers were challenged because of disturbances of the peace.
The operations center of the police headquarters recorded a total of 198 missions between 7 p.m. on New Year's Eve and New Year's morning at 6 a.m., around 20 fewer than in the previous year.
Of the 198 missions, 47 (previous year: around 60) were caused by disturbances.
During the night, the police recorded several assault crimes or were called about injured people.
There were no serious injuries in the region, nor were there any noteworthy fire incidents.
And the number of accidents was no different than usual due to the mild temperatures, the police said.
The biggest excitement of New Year's Eve: In Kaufbeuren and Neu-Ulm, two children were hit by fireworks and slightly injured.
In Krumbach, officials seized several alarm pistols and homemade fireworks.
To comply with the corona rules, the police carried out around 290 checks, of which around 70 were checks on the contact restrictions.
In total, the officers noted eight violations, all of which occurred in the catering and public transport.
In this respect, the police take into account that the vast majority of the population adhered to the specified contact restrictions so that the officers did not have to intervene.
