Twitter suspends Taylor Greene's account for a week 1:32

Twitter permanently suspended the @mtgreenee Twitter account of Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, the company confirmed to CNN on Sunday morning.
A Twitter spokesperson said the company "permanently suspended" the account "for repeated violations of our disinformation policy on covid-19."
Greene tweeted more frequently from the @mtgreenee account.
You still have access to and can tweet from your official Congress account @RepMTG.
Twitter previously had temporarily restricted Greene's account for sharing misinformation about the 2020 presidential election and COVID-19.

Greene's ban comes nearly a year after the platform banned former US President Donald Trump in the wake of the deadly insurrection on January 6.

Rep. Greene issued a statement after the suspension, part of which read: "Social media platforms cannot stop the truth from spreading everywhere. Big technology cannot stop the truth. Communist Democrats cannot stop the truth. the truth. I am with the truth and with the people. We will win! "
