LE FIGARO.- You are organizing a conference which will be held at the Sorbonne on January 7 and 8 entitled: “After deconstruction: rebuilding science and culture”. What is the objective?

There are three objectives. It is first of all a matter of bringing together academics from several disciplines and from several countries who agree that “deconstruction”, of which Wokism is only one aspect, has become an intellectual impasse. Indeed, this current comes, more and more, to confuse research and activism, truth and morality, science and ideology. With serious consequences for teaching and research: if we do nothing, we run the risk of seeing texts redacted or censored and, in the medium term, entire disciplinary fields replaced by transversal “cultural studies” which are not based on on validated knowledge but on militant prejudices.
