“Die Bergretter” star and main actor Sebastian Ströbel sent his fans a different kind of Christmas greeting. In a photo he was wild.

Hamburg - For many celebrities it is part of Christmas to send their fans a greeting via Instagram. Usually these are family photos that show the stars and their loved ones in festive robes in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. But this year was a lot different. For example, the Hummels family dropped out of the role. Because the national player and husband Mats had forgotten his suit, Cathy and son Ludwig also posed in jogging suits in front of the Christmas tree. The 44-year-old, who has been taking on the role of Markus Kofler in the popular ZDF series since 2014, posted a wild photo of himself on Instagram because his face was stained with blood.

"Merry Christmas" and a heart emoji, Ströbel decorated a photo of himself in his Instagram story.

Instead of happily gazing at the camera according to the occasion, the actor looked more like a villain.

Because in his left eye you could see dried blood.

To do this, he probably used special features of the social media app to paint a white beard and a Santa Claus hat on his head.

But what was this presentation about?

Did the actor have an accident?

Or - and that is more likely - the blood was artificial film blood that Ströbel was attached to for his role.

After all, mountain rescuer Markus Kofler often puts himself in danger during his missions.
