The Central Taiwan Meteorological Bureau (CWB) reports that a 6.0 magnitude earthquake was felt throughout the territory on Monday at 5:46 p.m. local time (4:46 a.m. ET).
CWB data shows that the epicenter was located off the east coast of Taiwan.
CNN's John Mees is in the capital, Taipei, where he felt the quake, and has so far seen no damage.
