How things will continue with the “Buchbergstüberl” is still unclear six months after the last innkeepers retired.
For the archers resident there, at least for now, there is reason to breathe a sigh of relief.
Wackersberg - The “Buchbergstüberl” in Wackersberg is quite isolated.
In spite of this, or perhaps because of it, it has always been a popular destination.
It has been closed for about half a year after the operators at the time, Petra and Wilhelm Baumgartner, retired (we reported).
It is still unclear what will happen to the inn and the grounds.
The property is privately owned: the archers are allowed to stay until it is sold
The property is privately owned.
“Only the access road belongs to the community,” Mayor Jan Göhzold informed when asked.
The archers are still there and continue to train.
This is confirmed by Angelika Thoma, chairwoman of the Wackersberg archers, who have been based there since it was founded in 2003.
“We don't know anything new about our practice area.
But we can stay on the site until the property is sold. ”The current owner has promised that.
“We have to see what happens to it.
Of course we would like to stay there. "
Moving to the Stallauer Weiher is difficult
That they are allowed to be there, at least for the time being, is "very nice for us".
Because the efforts to move the practice area to the Stallauer Weiher are very difficult.
As for the Isarwinkler archers, who would also like to have trained there, there are bureaucratic obstacles.
It is currently due to the fact that the district office has not given its approval, Thoma said.
But also from the point of view of archers, the space at the Stallauer Weiher is not as optimal as at the Buchberg, says Thoma.
“There is significantly more public traffic there.” And where there are more people, more people could potentially complain.
The number of members is stable among the Sagittarius
Despite some restrictions, this year has survived well and the number of members is stable.
The Montessori gym also provides a training opportunity for the winter.
"When the weather is nice, we are always on the Buchberg," says Thoma.
Originally there was the idea of an exchange with the Montessori students: The association is allowed to use their hall in winter, but the students are allowed to come to the place on the Buchberg to shoot.
However, this has not yet happened due to Corona.
Unvaccinated people are currently not allowed on the field
For a while, the archers were not allowed to train at all due to the restrictions.
At the moment, unvaccinated people are not allowed on the site.
Most of the competitions have failed.
"I've been waiting for a European Championship for two years," says Thoma, who won the title herself four years ago.
At the moment she sees at least the positive: “As long as we can stay on the field, it's good for us.” Because the “Buchbergstüberl” is closed, there is no longer any possibility of using the sanitary facilities there or after shooting to stop off.
"This makes everything a little more difficult right now."
