Catechesis

2022-01-03T08:48:36.680Z

'Who's laughing now?' has wanted to be a critic of the macho, homophobic, racist and class humor that was, for decades, the main beam of TVE variety programs. But it has no grace, no rhythm, no chemistry, no ideas

There was once a weekly youth gathering called El Círculo.

Not just anyone could attend, and if you were admitted you could talk about the issues that concern a teenager, without restrictions.

Some very modern twentysomethings moderated the debates that the adolescents proposed, and they returned home with some clear ideas: why shouldn't we have an abortion, why shouldn't we masturbate, why shouldn't we meet boys ... it was organized by Opus Dei .

Before I even knew what Opus was, I begged to be let go, but they didn't want me there.

I was not worth them.

And thanks to RTVE Play I have experienced what those tedious lectures on doctrine must have been like during Pachá light hours.

Who is laughing now?

has wanted to be a critic of the macho, homophobic, racist and class humor that was, for decades, the main beam of TVE variety programs. And it has turned out to be a lackluster catechesis for the poor in spirit. No grace, no rhythm, no chemistry, no ideas. As a piece for analysis, the show is childish, and as a humorous product, lackluster. When someone tries so hard to say what a good person they are, it will be because something has to be silent. Society evolves, but the human being does not change. Show business is as it has always been: to get close to one in a bar, give the ear to another, and lick the boots of a famous person and, if one day you reach his height, spit in his face. And when the result is like this show, people either shut up or put it right in case they get a cross and don't get called back (like, I suspect,It will end up happening to me). And so we have "best series", "best programs" and "best books" that coincidentally does not like anyone who does not work in the sector. So we have products like

Who is laughing now?

.

The problem of the world of entertainment is not so much heteropatriarchy as mediocrity, an endemic evil that has spread to all sectors, trades and corners of Spain.
