Citizen service centers in Damascus governorate provided more than 890,000 services during the past year, including 500,000 transactions for the civil registry, 120,000 for the criminal registry, and 110,000 for non-employees, while the temporary registry’s transactions amounted to 45,000 transactions and more than 31,500 transactions for the licensing contracts. Real estate interests are more than 14 thousand, and the data on urban planning and regulation is 9 thousand, in addition to other transactions.

During the past year, a number of citizen service centers were opened after rehabilitating and expanding their services, according to the director of citizen service centers in the governorate, Eng. Louay Alloush, who stated in a statement to SANA today that the centers were equipped with a solar energy system to provide services around the clock and included reception halls and a role system, while the center included Al-Qanawat in the Qanawat Services Department building has 11 offices and a waiting room, in addition to the opening of the new Al-Muhajireen and Al-Sham centers.

Alloush pointed out the inclusion of new services, including residential lease contracts, certified copies of the decision of the Dispute Resolution Committee of the Directorate of Decree 66, the treatment of the request for regulatory titles in the second regulatory area at the center of the Directorate of Decree 66, and the services of lease contracts and real estate interests in the field, and the authentication of documents from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in the centers Al-Muhajireen, the new Levant, and the new channels. The compulsory vehicle insurance service at the Mezzeh Center, the “not convicted” criminal record services, and the “non-employee” public registry for state workers were also included in the temporary registry center.

Alloush pointed out that the governorate is constantly working to improve and develop the reality of citizen service centers and add new services in order to simplify procedures, reduce burdens on citizens and shorten time and effort in completing their transactions.

Citizen service centers are distributed in Youssef Al-Azma Square in the governorate building, which includes the main center and in the old city of Damascus in the office of Amber and the departments of services in Kafr Sousa, Mezzeh, Al-Muhajireen, Dummar Al-Balad, Qanawat, Al-Midan, the Damascus Finance Directorate, the temporary registry in Sab’ Bahrat, the burial office in Bab Musalla, the Directorate of Implementation of Legislative Decree 66 in Mezzeh, and the Electronic Services Center In addition to the new Sham Center.
