Germering - There was a traffic accident in Wittelsbacherstraße in Germering on Friday, December 31, in which the person who caused the accident initially fled.
Around 1:15 p.m., the Renault of a 41-year-old Germeringer was parked properly on the edge of the lane in Wittelsbacherstrasse.
"The driver himself went shopping while his 47-year-old sister, who also lives in Germering, was waiting by the parked car," explains Police Chief Inspector Tobias Hollaus.
When she heard a loud noise, she turned to the parked car and could still see how parts of the exterior mirror flew away.
The other car, however, drove on.
"She tried to draw attention to herself, but the car continued on its way," continues Hollaus.
"The witness was finally able to remember the partial number."
In the course of the police admission and the subsequent investigation, the fugitive vehicle and the responsible driver, an 84-year-old Germeringer, could be located.
This is now awaiting an investigation into the unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident.
Property damage was caused to both vehicles, estimated at a total of 300 euros.
