About 150 passengers of the cruise ship MSC Grandiosa arrived at the port of Genoa at 8 from Marseille tested positive for the swabs carried out on board before disembarking.
The passengers, mostly Italians, were isolated in their respective cabins pending the Maritime Health Intervention (Usmaf), shipping company, Port Authority and Regional Civil Protection.
According to what has been learned, the procedure for the return home of Italian passengers with positive results has been started, which will take place on protected vehicles at the expense of the shipping company.
Foreigners will be placed in an RSA in Genoa.
If the places in the Genoese territorial structure run out, the remaining positive foreign tourists will be welcomed, according to what has been learned, in an RSA in Piedmont.
The cruise ship, which was supposed to leave for Civitavecchia at 5 pm, will not be able to leave Genoa before a complete sanitation.
