Starnberg - A cyclist from Germering suffered broken ribs, bruises and abrasions on New Year's Eve in Starnberg.
He wanted to overtake a car and collided with the vehicle.
The accident occurred around 12.10 p.m. when a 48-year-old man from Walldorf was driving his Peugeot down Bahnhofplatz from Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße in the direction of the train station.
He then wanted to turn left into the parking lot there.
To do this, he arranged himself properly and turned on the indicator.
A 54-year-old cyclist from Germering driving behind him apparently did not understand the situation correctly and overtook the driver as he was turning.
There was contact between the vehicles.
The cyclist fell to the ground and sustained various injuries.
He came to the hospital with the ambulance.
There was damage of around 500 euros to the bike, no damage to the car.
The police announced that the exact violations must first be determined by questioning the people and witnesses involved.
